Canon 35/2.5 Super Canomatic R
The 35/2.5 Super Canomatic R was a retrofocus design, and not very wide by anyone's standards, was
the widest lens produced for the system. Originally announced as an 35/2 (which would have turned
some heads had it happened). It was introduced in August of 1960. It had seven elements in five
groups, a minimum aperture setting of f/16 and could focus down to just under 16 inches. It takes 58mm
filters and a 60mm clamp on shade. The price in March 1962 was $164.95
